Career Opportunities

The Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter is a non-profit agency focused on ending family violence and abuse in the lives of women, children, youth and men.  We are committed to creating a safe and stable environment for our clients and an environment where our employees can thrive. We believe that every individual brings their own talent and strengths contributing directly to our growth and success.

We continue to evolve and are looking for people who want to grow with us.  If you embrace change and new opportunities we want you on our team. We take pride in not only nurturing healthy families through our intervention and prevention programs but also through our employee programs:

  • Competitive comparable salary packages with benefits, matching RRSP and generous paid time off allowances
  • Employee & Family Assistance Program
  • Professional training and learning programs
  • Flexible & Alternate work arrangements

We are looking for people who are open to change, possibility and lead by example with a positive and supportive communication style.

We seek counsellors who are comfortable with client-centred approaches and who are familiar with the response-based approach (Dr. Allan Wade and Dr. Linda Coates) and Feedback Informed Treatment (Dr. Scott Miller).
