In this time of physical distancing, connections are more important than ever. Stay connected to your friends and family, and when needed, support those who are impacted by family violence and abuse. We all have a role to play.

The Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter offers a free webinar focused on supporting individuals and families during this time of crisis. Learn how to identify family violence and abuse in all its forms, ways to respond compassionately and positively to victims, and how to connect to resources.

• “This [initiative] is great. It has really changed the way I see or approach a problem. Great presentation and educative. I know better now. Thank you!”

• “The workshop was an eyeopener in terms of domestic violence statistics, it also made me realize how important it is to be an empathetic listener and not try to solve the problem by giving advice.”
