Tulip Awards 2019

In November 2019, during Family Violence Prevention Month, Angela Knight from CBC Calgary’s The Eyeopener hosted our annual Tulip Awards, honouring community leaders taking a stand against family violence and abuse.

The Calgary Women’s Emergency Shelter would not be able to provide our services in the community without the support of our generous donors and volunteers. The Tulip Awards celebrate significant contributions that make a difference in the lives of families taking courageous steps to end family violence and abuse.

It is with enormous pride and respect that we recognize and honour the individuals and organizations taking significant action towards making lives safer and healthier for the women, children, youth and men we serve. Congratulations to all our award recipients.

Third Party Fundraisers

Independent special events, or third party fundraisers, big or small, are a very important component of our fundraising activities. Every event held in support of the agency gets us one step closer to achieving our mission to end family violence and abuse. A third party event is a great opportunity to participate in community work that is fun and meaningful in support of families in need.
